Why the math broke
The old model assumed
you'd accept whatever they made.
When you pay $199 up front for a single take, you're emotionally committed before you've heard a note. If it lands a little flat — the tempo's off, the chorus is generic, the singer's voice doesn't fit her — you'll send it anyway. Sunk cost. You'll convince yourself it's great.
We thought about that a lot. The reaction is the entire product. If the song is 70% right but you send it because you already paid, the gift dies on the way to her inbox.
So we flipped the order: make three versions, charge less, let you choose. If none of them are right, you can revise (three rounds on Standard, ten on Premium — most buyers use one). You only confirm the gift once you'd send it to your own mom.
